SDCC - Saturday

Okay, so I’m totally tired and don’t feel like fixing up the pictures, so I’m only going to do a text (with a tiny bit of pictures) post right now. As for the video of the panel, I’m gonna wait til CBS posted it up first (they said its coming soon) and I’ll post whatever they cut out from the panel.

So, this morning, I was going to wake up at 6am to make my ways to the Convention Center for the WB autograph line, but oops, woke up at 7:30 instead. After I got there, I met up with mkice9 (she might also have pictures, so go nag her as well XD), and we head to the CBS booth to ask about the autograph session this afternoon.

When we got there, a lady was making announcements for all the stuff going on today at the booth, and we heard that instead of an autograph session, it’s going to be a ‘Special Limited Meet & Greet Session”. That got the both of us pretty excited, so we went up to ask some guy how to get into the M & G Session. The guy said something like go up to the Sails Pavilion to line up for passes, but the lady making the announcement clearly said to not do that and to meet up at the booth instead. So we went around the booth to ask someone else, the second guy told us we don’t need tickets, just line up at the booth. Now we got two different information about the M & G, so we decided to go up to Sails Pavilion to ask around. The first guy, working for AA05, the CBS/CW/Showtime booth said that the tickets were long gone since the morning. Now we were bewildered because the lady said to line up for autographs from House of Lies and Shameless half an hour before the session, and now they’re telling us it’s all gone? Anyways, so we went back down to the booth, and this time, we asked the lady that made the announcement, and she said we didn’t need passes, just line up at the booth.

So now we’re both pretty sure what was going to happen for the M & G, so it was about 11:30 and we split up to go to our own thing. First, I went to the wait at the Warner Bros booth for the Revolution (Another JJ Abrams show) autograph, session and saw the cast of The Hobbit there. Took some pictures, get yelled at by the security crew along with hundreds of other people trying to get pics, and settle down in the back to wait to get in line. After the autograph session, I went to the Grimm Panel at room 6A, it was pretty packed, but I got a good enough of a seat in the middle towards the front.

Since I was early, I attended something called the Marvel Video Games? Which was also pretty cool, the trailer for the new games were pretty cool. For the Grimm Panel, first we were showed a recap of the first season, which was pretty nicely done, then the producers/casts came out and they talked about lots of things. Afterwards, we were showed the first act of Season 2 Episode 1, and wow, was it exciting and fun and I can’t wait!

Then I rushed to the room next door for the Person of Interest panel, and woa, was that line super long or what!? Anyways, after about an hour in line, I got in, found mkice9, but went to the front to see if there were any open seats. As I was looking, a very nice lady told me that there’s an open seat down her row, and it was the fifth or sixth row from the panel! So of course I sat down over there, unfortunately, the person sitting in front of me was tall, and had a hat on, so some of my pictures were definitely blocked by her :(

Again, we were showed a recap of season 1, and immediately after, we saw what happened after Reese picked up that phone! and then it went on for about… 5-8 minutes worth of snippets from the first episode! Since it’s pretty spoiler-y, I’m gonna put it here, so that no one that doesn’t want to get spoiled gets spoiled. I’m like totally excited for September 27th! Then lots of questions from the person running the panel, and some questions from the audience. Jim didn’t talk a lot, but whenever he did, he made the audience laugh. Michael was his usual self, with his adorkable laugh. Taraji was, happy? Answered a lot of questions and commented on lots of responses from the other panelists. Chappy, was being Chappy, so lovable! Made lots of funny comments as well, gave us all an image of him in spandex, which was… hmmmmmmm, I’ve got no comment for that.

After the panel mkice9 and I ran down to the CBS booth, but found out that we DO need a pass to the M & G, and heard that they had a random drawing at 4:30 for the lucky 20 people that can attend the M & G. I mean, only 20!? So we were all pretty sad but stood there with our camera ready. Soon, security people came out and started yelling for us to keep moving and not block the path in front of the booth, but of course we were having none of it and stood there anyways. As the producers/casts came out, it was chaos. Security people started yelling, and people started snapping pictures and shoving and pushing. I got a decent amount of pictures though, so I’ll share that as soon as I got my energy back :p

And that is all for the day! Didn’t do much ‘sightseeing’, will probably be doing that tomorrow when I have no lines that needs to be stand in, and no rush from one side of the convention center to the other!
